Shattered Realms pt5

As before the feeling was odd going through the portal. Epoch sighed as he looked around. This time the Portal was oddly in a cave. Did that mean the portals were never in the same spot? What reason would having something that is in the same area but not in the same spot hold? Whoever or whatever made these had an odd idea of how things worked……either way he started heading out and soon saw it was still morning. He walked around a bit looking at the place. Even with his memory as it was, he could feel the eeriness.  It didn't take long to hear the Voice of Unluck yelling in “don’t get Distracted!! You may have some time but you still need to make your way to Sugarcube corner!!” he sighed and nodded as he picked up the pace as he looked around making sure he didn't run into anything along the way. As he walked though he noticed things were already a bit off. He tried to ignore it but aft coming to a spot he swore he saw claw marks on a tree.and they didn't match a bear or a normal creature. He found himself unable to focus on anything else when he saw it. It was familiar and the fact that it bothered him so much made it more important to him. He turned in the direction that seemed to be the most damaged.  He was now in a full gallop ,the sounds of both Unluck and Lightquake now began to grow loud in his head “what are you doing!?!? Are you forgetting what your mission is?” Unluck roared ,Lightquake also seem upset” Epoch,I don’t know what motivates you to deviate, but you must turn around. What ever that is, its not more important than saving that entire world.” Epoch kept running . he didn't know what drove him but he had to keep going.  As he moved he could hear Roaring and other animal cries. He also heard what he had hoped not to:screaming.  He hadn’t be sure but he had saw smaller hoofprints near the claw marks. He now at full charge ran towards the area he heard the screaming. He finally arrived to see a creature that made him freeze: a Chimera. This creature was something he felt oddly familiar with and not in a good way. The goat head and snake head noticed him instantly the lion head was focused something else. Epoch looked at what it was staring at: it looked like a filly Pegasus .maybe she was just young? Either way she out cold…..hopefully. there wasn't any blood so hopefully she just passed out. At this point he couldn't even hear  Unluck and Lightquake. He Yelled “ get away from her !!” charging in at the Chimera. The snake head instantly tired to bit him when he got close. He dodge it barely now trying to circle around it. The goat head   moved its front hooves a bit trying to crush his skull the Lion head now turning to see this newcomer. He now had its attention but it clearly wasn’t leaving this place,it seems she may have worn it down a bit.  He sighed,if only he had magic!! He wasn't sure he would get much help from the rest. The Chimera suddenly charged at him he was able to dodge the lion but the goat part was successful in grazing his head with its horns. He winced in the pain as he turned to face the beast again. He sudden heard the Pegasus whine a bit. He sighed with relief but didn’t get a chance to think about it as the snake part  wrapped around his hoof and lifted him into the air  and proceeded to slam him into the nearby trees. He felt himself losing his  conscious already. To be so weak was horrible!!! Even the young one was able to keep it at bay!! He could hear the other telling him to get out of there. He knew normally he should. But he couldn't. she would die and he could allow it. The  snake head threw him into a rock making Epoch double over. He could barely stand. The Chimera could see this and now turned his full attention. He could hear them yelling of the others telling him to try and use magic and flee. He could barely even focus.  He looked at the Chimera then looked at the young Pegasus. She was stirring now somewhat looking at him, scared, confused, sad. The Chimera charged at him leaping into the air. He could see it,this was the end. He had no magic and no strength. As the Chimera came closer all he could think of was how he couldn't let it end. He looked at it and saw only one option. In one moment his strength would be put into this last effort.  As the Beast fell on him he yelled and thrust forward. The Chimera and Pegasus were both startled by this but there was no counter. All was silent for what felt like eternity.  Then the fearsome Beast fell over Dead. A surprised and startled Pegasus moved slowly with the little strength she had and saw something unbelievable.Epoch had stabbed it with his Horn. Unicorn horns were not that sturdy but he not only slayed creature but his horn was fine. Epoch was  looked at her for a second. She was clearly scared ,her small pink body shaking and her hair  a mess. He wanted to comfort her but there wasn't anytime for that.”it’s alright….ill be fine. Ju-just get out of here….your safe now….”he passed out smiling. He wasn't sure what would happen now but he was happy. He didn't have magic but he had managed.it wouldn't be bad to die here like this…
